Mr. Daya Ram Ghimire (born 1 may 1989 ) is a Media Personnel , film producer/director and a freelancer. He was curious and interested in Media and Films that he started to present Radio programs at Star FM located at Dharan in 2008 as a hobby. Ghimire’s first stepping stone was from film journalism. After completing his Bachelor’s Degree, Ghimire moved to Kathmandu and continued his film and radio journalism subsequently. While Mr. Ghimire was working as a program producer/presenter at Radio Annapurna Nepal.

He already had knowledge of direction as he had directed a dozen of music videos, some advertisements previously, and even worked as a chief assistant producer/director. His debut music video was “Timile Mero” (2014) He has directed several music videos and TVc such as timi aayau zindagi ma (2015) , Hey aama Nepal aama (2015) , Dobato ma (2015) , Bipanima timi (2016) , Timro jasto rasilo (2016) , Nishthurile (2017) yo kanchhi ko (2018) , Bhariyera Ritiyechhu (2022), Aama (2022), Farki aau Mero hajur(2023), vista securities appliances TVc (2015) , Navi malam funded by Usaid for Nepal government TVc (2016). He also directed Movie juni (2016) and Chi musi chi (2017) as an assistance director. Jogi (documentary based on Feri culture) which is directed and produced by Ghimire. Halkara (Documentary Based on Real Story) is a recent project which is directed and produced .

With his extensive experience and expertise in the field of film-making, Daya Ram Ghimire is regarded as a pioneer in the Nepali film industry. His contributions have not only elevated the industry’s standard but have also inspired many young and aspiring filmmakers to follow in his footsteps.
